The coolest thing around is the new iPhone 3G S from Apple. Lets see the features and Specifications of it. Meet the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet. iPhone 3G S features video recording, Voice Control, up to 32GB of storage, and more.

FEATURES:

The Fastest iPhone Ever

The first thing you’ll notice about iPhone 3G S is how quickly you can launch applications. Web pages render in a fraction of the time, and you can view email attachments faster. Improved performance and updated 3D graphics deliver an incredible gaming experience, too. In fact, everything you do on iPhone 3G S is up to 2x faster and more responsive than iPhone 3G.

Video

Now you can shoot video, edit it, and share it — all on your iPhone 3G S. Shoot high-quality VGA video in portrait or landscape. Trim your footage by adjusting start and end points. Then share your video in an email, post it to your MobileMe gallery, publish it on YouTube, or sync it back to your Mac or PC using iTunes.

3-Megapixel Camera

The new 3-megapixel camera takes great still photos, too, thanks to built-in autofocus and a handy new feature that lets you tap the display to focus on anything (or anyone) you want.

Voice Control

Voice Control recognizes the names in your Contacts and knows the music on your iPod. So if you want to place a call or play a song, all you have to do is ask.

Compass

With a built-in digital compass, iPhone 3G S can point the way. Use the new Compass app, or watch as it automatically reorients maps to match the direction you’re facing.

Cut, Copy & Paste

Cut, copy, and paste words and photos, even between applications. Copy and paste images and content from the web, too.

Everything you love about iPhone.

Phone, iPod, and Internet device in one, iPhone 3G S offers desktop-class email, an amazing Maps application, and Safari — the world’s most advanced mobile web browser. And your iPhone does even more when you add apps from the App Store.

Samsung Electronics on Thursday said it has used its 50-nanometer circuit technology to develop the first

Samsung Electronics on Thursday said it has used its 50-nanometer circuit technology to develop the first 4-Gb DDR3 PC memory chip, which the vendor claims offers more capacity at significantly less power consumption than current DDR3 products.

Samsung is targeting manufacturers’ new generation of “green” PCs with its new technology, which will be used in 16-GB dual in-line memory modules, or RDIMM, for servers; 8-GB unbuffered DIMM for workstations and desktop PCs; and 8-GB small-outline DIMM for laptops.

DDR3, a type of DRAM technology, has several advantages over its DDR2 predecessor. Among the primary benefits is the ability to transfer input/output data at eight times the rate, while providing a 30% reduction in power consumption.

“We have leveraged our strength in innovation to develop the first 4-Gb DDR3, in leading the industry to higher DRAM densities,” Kevin Lee, VP for technical marketing at Samsung Semiconductor, said in a statement.

By applying its dual-die package technology, Samsung said it can package two 16-GB modules in one dual-die package for a maximum of 32 GB, which is twice the capacity of products based on the previous highest chip density.

Samsung’s latest technology operates at 1.35 volts and has a maximum speed of 1.6 Gbps. A 16-GB module, for example, can consume 40% less power than a 2-Gb DDR3 module because the higher density 50-nm technology uses half the number of chips, 32 versus 64.

Samsung plans to convert all its DRAM products to the 50-nm process. The company released its first product in September with the development of a 50-nm 2-Gb DDR3 DRAM. The company also offers 1-Gb DDR3 DRAM.

The number of PCs shipping with DDR3 system memory is expected to increase steadily. DDR3 is expected to account for 72% of the DRAM market in terms of units sold by 2011 from 29% this year, according to IDC.

The market, however, has been hit extremely hard by the economic downturn, which has caused a slump in the PC and consumer electronics market. Samsung this month reported its first-ever quarterly loss, because of a drop in sales of appliances, liquid crystal displays, and memory chips.

—————————————————–

If you are a Gmail user and is bugged with the fact that your internet connection is slow or you suffer from downtime in your area,

If you are a Gmail user and is bugged with the fact that your internet connection is slow or you suffer from downtime in your area, then this is the perfect solution for you. Google brings the google gears to Gmail and helps you access your Gmail account even when you are not connected to the internet. Isnt it great. Check below HOW???

The logic is simple but it could be a great value add. If you install the Google Gears plug-in to your browser from the Gmail Lab, Gmail detects when you are offline. The new version caches your e-mail so that you can read it, respond to it, search it, star it, or label it. When you are connected to the Internet again, it sends all the messages that you have prepared while being offline. You can even open attachments.

As Gmail product manager Todd Jackson puts it, “it works exactly the way Gmail already works on mobile phones such as the Android and those that support Gears. The underlying sync engine is exactly the same for Android and offline Gmail.”

Here’s how it works. Once the feature is turned on, Gmail uses Gears to download a local cache of your mail. As long as you’re connected to the network, that cache is synchronized with Gmail’s servers.

When the connection is lost, Gmail automatically switches to offline mode, and uses the data stored on your computer’s hard drive instead of the information sent across the network.

Any messages you send while offline will be placed in your outbox and automatically sent the next time Gmail detects a connection. And if you’re on an unreliable or slow connection, you can choose to use “flaky connection mode,” which is somewhere in between: it uses the local cache as if you were disconnected, but still synchronizes your mail with the server in the background.

According to web reports, Google is making offline Gmail available to everyone who uses Gmail in US or UK English over the next couple of days. If you don’t see it under the Labs tab yet, it should be there soon.

The only bad news is some features that require an Internet connection, such as spell check, won’t work offline. And while you can open attachments, you won’t be able to add attachments at launch. But Google promises to make them available soon!

The system is beta and accessible through Gmail Labs. But it won’t be immediately available to everyone - Google is parsing out access as it experiments with the new feature.

If Gmail lives up to the user expectations, then this would be a big step forward in bringing web mail offline given that presently there are options of offline access to your mailbox, but they all come with strings. You can access your Gmail account through a client like Mozilla Thunderbird. But that doesn’t give you all the Gmail functionality like labels.

————————————————

Google Inc on Wednesday unveiled a plan aimed at eventually letting computer users determine whether providers like Comcast Corp are inappropriately blocking or slowing their work online.

The scheme is the latest bid in the debate over network neutrality, which pits content companies like Google against some Internet service providers. The ISPs say they need to take reasonable steps to manage ever-growing traffic on their networks for the good of all users.

Content and applications companies fear the providers have the power to discriminate, favoring some traffic over others. Google will provide academic researchers with 36 servers in 12 locations in the United States and Europe to analyze data, said its chief Internet guru, Vint Cerf, known as the “father of the Internet.”

“When an Internet application doesn’t work as expected or your connection seems flaky, how can you tell whether there is a problem caused by your broadband ISP (Internet service provider), the application, your PC (personal computer), or something else?” Cerf wrote in a blog post.

The effort aims to uncover the problem for users, Cerf said. Cerf is widely known for his work for the US government in designing the Internet protocol in the 1970s and 1980s.

In a precedent-setting decision last year, the five-member Federal Communications Commission voted to uphold a complaint accusing Comcast of violating the FCC’s open-Internet principles by blocking file-sharing services, such as those that distribute video and television shows. The case became a flash point in the Net neutrality debate. Comcast is fighting the decision in the courts.

—————————————–

Chinese Mobiles as we all know them to be. These are the cheap replicas of the original mobile phones having loads of new features and costs

Chinese Mobiles as we all know them to be. These are the cheap replicas of the original mobile phones having loads of new features and costs a fraction of the original phones. The Chinese Phones offer all the features that any branded mobile phones offer and costs as little as Rs. 2500.00

Now these affordable phones are becoming new Terror Tools. Following the series of bomb blasts across the country, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) zeroed in on these handsets and last month recommended to the Union home ministry and department of telecommunications (DoT) to ban them. It’s because these handsets, recovered from some terror suspects, did not have the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number and consequently gave no details of SIM cards used in it.

Apparently, terrorists have switched over to such handsets which can be discarded without any hassles and without fear of call transactions being traced.

How exactly does the IMEI number work? Every branded mobile phone comes with a standard 15-digit or 17-digit IMEI number. This number is registered with the GSM service provider once the handset becomes active when a SIM card is inserted.

In case the handset is stolen, even if the SIM card is changed, the police can block the handset by using the IMEI number and even retrieve details from recovered handsets. Even CDMA mobile phones have an electronic serial number equivalent to the IMEI number.

Bangalore City Crime Branch (CCB) officials, who often raid outlets selling such handsets, say: “It is very difficult to extract details from such handsets. Though these ‘Chinese mobiles’ are supposed to have genuine IMEI numbers, they are either fake or several phones have the same IMEI number, making it impossible to find out any details.”

Interestingly, most of such mobile phones are not really made in China. They are assembled in the country, mainly in Delhi and Mumbai and then sold in most cities throughout the country.

These Chinese handsets have become very popular in the city as they have features mostly available only on high-end phones. While genuine high-end phones with several options and features range between Rs 10,000 and Rs 18,000, these phones come for even Rs 3,500 with the same features.

One can buy them at several markets like National Market, Hong Kong Bazaar in Gandhinagar and Dubai Plaza near Brigade Road. Shopkeepers say these phones appeal to several people because in terms of looks and finish they are very similar to branded high-end phones. Dealers selling these handsets say that most customers are happy because there are hardly any complaints.

According to CCB officials, selling these phones is illegal as most handsets don’t come with any documents. The phones are locally made and sold without any receipt or additional tax.

We at TZ request all readers to avoid these type of Mobile Phones and Save all from the Terrorism.

———————————————
